A deposit set to pay its interest out, with nowhere to pay it, said nothing about it — and quietly produced no interest reminders at all. The row now says so, and opening the account offers the bank's main account to settle it

Accounts is one screen again. The dashboard view is gone: its total is at the foot of the list, its month is on Home, and grouping by type moved into Sort & filter — which groups by bank and label too

Cash now shows the flag of the currency it holds wherever it appears, not only in the accounts list. And the account types that shared an icon have their own: a loan was drawn as a bank, "Other" as an e-wallet, and cash as a stack of cards

On Budgets, the spent-and-left figure beside the title took as much room as it wanted, so in a language with longer words — or against larger numbers — the word "Budgets" was squeezed down to one letter per line

A bank can have a main account, and deposits there find it on their own: the interest destination is filled in for you, and a bank's deposits sit in the list directly beneath the account they belong to rather than adrift from it. Set it under a bank account's Advanced section when two accounts could equally be meant

Three ways to show a bank's main account together with its deposits — indented beneath it, folded onto one row that opens, or boxed together with the bank's total — under Linked deposits in Sort & filter. A main account is marked in the list now too, so the flag can be seen without opening the account

A card account can hold more than one card. Each has its own number, issuer and artwork, and the accounts list names the first one — •••• 4029 — with a count of the rest beside it

Renaming a bank left the old name on every account that used it. It stayed there until the account was saved for some unrelated reason, and changed then instead

Installing an older version over a newer one left the app unable to start at all — it refused to open a database the later build had already touched, and clearing your data was the only way past it

A bank's deposit total stayed readable with privacy mode on, while every other figure on the screen — including the group subtotals beside it — was hidden

Templates got a screen of their own, built around what tells two templates apart — the name, the amount and where it goes — instead of the date and running balance a blotter row leads with, neither of which a template has

Start a transaction or a transfer from a saved template: a Template row at the top of both forms, and a row of one-tap chips in quick add

"Save as template" now asks what to call it, suggesting the payee or the category. Before, it left the name empty and the list fell back to whichever it could find — a name you never chose and could not change from the list

The accounts list can be filtered by several labels at once: pick any number under Sort & filter and it shows the accounts carrying any of them, each label a chip you can take off on its own

A template carries the payee's logo now, the same badge it has on its blotter row, rather than falling back to the category's emoji

Duplicate on the templates screen made a transaction dated today and posted it to your ledger, instead of making another template. The list it was invoked from did not change, so the only sign anything had happened was a new entry in the blotter

The + on the templates screen opened an ordinary new transaction. Saving it wrote a transaction, not a template, and the row vanished from the list it was added on

A transfer saved as a template was listed but could be used nowhere — both pickers left transfers out, and the templates screen could only add transactions

Starting a transaction from a template in quick add dropped the payee, so a template named after a shop recorded the spending without it

A template's project and location were dropped when it was used, and a split template arrived without its parts

Backups did not contain your account labels or your debts. Restoring brought the accounts back with the labels gone and the debts missing altogether. Backups taken from this version carry both — ones you already have cannot, so it is worth taking a fresh backup

Grouping the accounts list did nothing at all unless you also kept two deposits at the same bank. Group by type, bank or label works on any list now

Filtering the accounts list left the figure at the foot covering every account you have, next to a count that did follow the filter

The accounts list has been rebuilt.

Sort & filter, from the button at the top right: order the list your own way, by name, by balance or by last activity; narrow it to one label or to deposits only; choose whether a deposit shows the days it has left or the date it matures; and show or hide closed accounts

Group the list by type, bank or label. A heading is a light divider with the group's subtotal rather than a panel the list is broken into, closed accounts sink to the end of their own section instead of the end of the list, and a subtotal covering more than one currency is converted and marked as approximate

The foot of the list says how many open accounts the total covers, and names the label when a filter is on, so the figure is never a total of something you cannot see.

In Debts, only a transaction that took money out of the account could be linked. Money arriving by transfer — the usual way a debt is repaid to you — was left out of the list, even though the same transfer appeared in that account's own transactions

The account editor and the new-transaction and transfer screens are built from flat rows now — label on the left, value on the right, grouped into blocks with a single hairline between them — instead of boxed fields stacked down the screen. A whole transaction fits on one screen, so Details starts open rather than hiding half the form behind a tap

Every account type explains itself where you choose it, so picking between Bank account, Savings, Deposit and the rest no longer depends on knowing what Kazna means by each

A card's background and its issuer mark are chosen together now, in one appearance sheet that draws the card as you change it, instead of two settings that could disagree

The account editor opens with what you came to type: Type, then Currency, then Name. The name field used to sit ninth, below the icon and card-issuer dropdowns and the artwork grid — the one thing everyone fills in was the last thing they reached. Position in list and Include into totals moved into a collapsed Advanced section, out from between you and the save button

The icon picker names every icon rather than showing a wall of bare glyphs, and an account's labels fill in when they apply — before, a label that applied and one that merely existed differed only by a small checkmark

A transaction's account row shows the bank behind the account, and a card is drawn large enough to recognise: the bank mark, the last four digits and the issuer all readable instead of crowded into a thumbnail. Status became a small menu under the dot you tapped, rather than a full dialog for five fixed choices

The "Credit Card Payment" switch is gone from both forms, and so is its setting. It marked a payment made toward a card's bill, so that the credit-card statement could leave it out of what you had spent — but that statement is not currently available in Kazna, which left a switch on every transaction and every transfer with nothing reading it. Anything already marked keeps its mark

The add button is the same on every list — Accounts, Locations, Projects, Payees, Currencies, Attributes and Account Labels: filled, in the same corner, and — on five of the six — announced properly by a screen reader instead of going unnamed. The location picker gains the same + the project picker has, and its "none" row says "No location" rather than offering to record where you are

The amount field took only six digits before the decimal separator, so nothing from ten million up could be entered

An account's position in the list did not look like something you could type into, and read as a label rather than a field

Deposits now offer to record their interest: on the day it lands, Upcoming shows what was due, and one tap opens a transaction already filled in with the account, date, amount and category. Nothing is written until you save it, since banks round and withhold; the prompt stays until you dismiss it. Interest that capitalises is offered too, recorded onto the deposit itself, where it grows the balance

Deposit insurance can now count labels separately, for money kept at one bank on behalf of more than one person: differently labelled deposits are treated as different depositors, each with its own insured limit. Off by default, under Preferences → Accounts List → Deposit insurance

A deposit could be saved set to pay its interest out with no account to pay it to — which the app reads as capitalising, so it looked like one thing and behaved like another. Both the wizard and the account editor now ask where the interest goes

The deposit-insurance warning sat in the gap below its row, so with two deposits at one bank showing one under the other it read as a warning about the wrong one. It now sits inside the row it describes

Long-press the app icon for quick add, a new transaction or a new transfer

Kazna now fills in the category for you: pick a payee and it suggests the one you usually use for it. It only ever fills an empty field — a category you chose yourself is never replaced. On by default; turn it off under Preferences → New transaction screen → Suggest a category

Swipe actions on the blotter now work the way they do on iOS: the row holds open with labelled buttons instead of firing the moment you let go, you can pick up to three actions for the left swipe and two for the right, and swiping a row all the way across runs the first one

Duplicating a transaction left the new row tucked under the date header, so the copy you had just made was half hidden

Deposit insurance: Kazna can warn when the deposits at one bank add up to more than would be compensated if the bank failed — insurance pays per bank, so four modest deposits at one place can quietly leave part of your money uncovered. Off by default; switch it on in Preferences → Accounts List, where the limit is filled in for your home currency and can be changed

Debts is no longer marked beta. It has shipped to everyone for a while and works; the label was outstaying its welcome

Exchange rates could stop updating without saying anything — when the rate service was unreachable, old rates kept showing as though they were current, and every converted total was quietly out of date. Kazna now falls back to a second source, and the rates screen tells you when an update failed

Maturity reminders for deposits: a notification before one ends, while you can still move the money or stop the rollover — set how far ahead in Preferences → Accounts List

If notifications are switched off, the reminder setting says so and offers to turn them back on, instead of leaving you waiting for a reminder that was never going to arrive

Opening a deposit now walks through it in steps — the terms, the money that funds it, then a review before anything is saved. You can choose to fund it later, and back out at any point without leaving a half-made deposit behind

New Home widget: deposits about to mature, each with its bank, labels, rate and the days left — set how far ahead it looks, from 30 days to everything

Upcoming now lists the interest your deposits are due to pay, next to your planned payments

The internal names put right in 1.12.2 — "<NO_PROJECT>" and the like — were still showing on iPhone and iPad. They are corrected the first time you open this version

A new install started with almost none of the built-in categories. They are added the first time you open this version

A new top-level category appeared above categories you already had, instead of at the end of its list

Deleting an account left its deposit behind, out of sight but still carried into your backups

The cash flow forecast now counts the interest your deposits are expected to pay, so a month of interest income no longer looks like a month of nothing

Deposits at one bank can be kept apart by label, so one person's money is not folded into a total with someone else's — Preferences → Accounts List

Picking a project or location shows their emoji, and the picker fits the list instead of always filling half the screen

Internal names such as "<NO_PROJECT>" could appear where "No project", "No category" or "Current location" should be

Restoring a password-protected backup from your files could clear your data instead of bringing it back. Restoring now asks for the password, and a file Kazna cannot read is refused rather than acted on

Repeating payments on the Home screen showed the day you created them and looked overdue. They now show when they are next actually due

The cash flow forecast ignored your everyday spending during your first weeks with Kazna, and underestimated it in a month with a large scheduled payment

Home-screen widgets for Android and iOS: net worth at a glance, your top accounts, and a button that goes straight to quick add

Choosing a language in Preferences did nothing at all. It now applies when you restart, dates included, and Kazna appears in the system Settings language list too

Multi-currency reports (Category Treemap, Cash Flow, Spending Calendar, Category Comparison, Balance Trends) now convert amounts into your home currency instead of adding raw numbers together

Your own banks no longer disappear from the Banks list when a bank catalog is installed — hidden ones come back automatically, and their accounts can now be re-assigned correctly

Quick add: the + button on Home opens an amount-first sheet — numpad, your accounts and most-used categories as chips, done in seconds (toggle in Preferences → New transaction screen)

Transfers: a swap button flips the from/to accounts (and amounts) in one tap

Design: date-only transactions no longer show a meaningless "12:00 AM"; account pickers show a single clean placeholder

A newly created bank no longer shows up as a catalog bank in the account form; the bank picker cleanly separates "My banks" from the catalog

Exchange rates now update automatically once a day — and instantly for newly added currencies (toggle in Preferences → Other)
